NTFP EP India Meeting in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh 2011

The meeting began with the introduction of NTFP-EP India and where it is now, with regard to its work and direction. Increasingly, it seemed that the partners were focused in their own work or a project – which is not a bad thing in itself – rather than build the network. This means that we need to find common issues that engage us within the framework of NTFP-EP. Besides this, rights and conservation need to be married but how can EP go about it? The EP-network needs to be looked at as a strategy to address larger issues.
