Sahjivan
Sahjivan Foundation for Sustainable Development (SFSD) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization that has been committed to empowering marginalized communities since its inception in 2018. The Foundation operates with a focus on sustainable development, particularly in tribal and rural areas. Over the years, Sahjivan Foundation has worked diligently to uplift communities by enhancing livelihoods, promoting education, and fostering entrepreneurship among the underprivileged.
The Foundation’s efforts have positively impacted thousands of beneficiaries, with a special emphasis on women, children, and tribal groups. Through various initiatives, including skill development, income generation programs, and education, Sahjivan Foundation has been a catalyst for change, driving socio-economic progress in the regions it serves.
A key achievement of Sahjivan Foundation has been the establishment of NTFP (Non-Timber Forest Products) selling outlets, which have provided a vital income source for tribal communities. These outlets enable the sale of locally sourced products like Mahua, Honey, Gum, and various medicinal plants, directly linking tribal producers with consumers. This initiative not only supports the preservation of traditional knowledge and sustainable forest management but also ensures that the communities receive fair prices for their produce. By creating these market linkages, Sahjivan Foundation has empowered tribal families to secure their livelihoods, resulting in increased income and economic stability for numerous beneficiaries across the region.
