Srijan Kalyan Samaj Sevi Sanstha Mahasamund

Srijan Kalyan Samaj Sevi Sanstha Mahasamund was founded in March 2016, by
grassroots social workers. It focuses on empowering women in rural and tribal
communities. The organization was established to address the challenges faced by women
in these areas, who often struggle to access essential services and information.
Recognizing women’s crucial roles in household and community matters, the organization
promotes women’s empowerment and facilitates the overall development of rural and tribal
populations.
The organization’s vision is to create a society where women and girls have the ability and
strength to lead independent lives, contributing to community development and
environmental conservation. Srijan Kalyan works to provide education, healthcare, legal
aid, and access to government schemes, with a strong emphasis on sustainable growth. It
operates skill development centres and promotes women’s participation in local
governance, focusing on rights advocacy, environmental protection, and community-driven
initiatives.
Srijan Kalyan Samaj Sevi Sanstha Mahasamund has made significant strides, reaching
4,000 families in Mahasamund and Baloda Bazar districts. Key achievements include
providing benefits from government schemes to over 3,000 members, offering legal aid to
59 women, and leading community development projects in 30 villages. The organization
also runs educational programs and has increased women’s participation in local action
plans, securing community forest resource rights.
